Oil Cooler Line Replacement Cost
What owners actually paid
The shaded middle is where half of all these repairs landed: $254 – $597. The price on any one car depends on the vehicle — the table below shows the range for each.
What this repair is
Many engines and transmissions run their oil through a small cooler via rubber-and-steel lines. The crimped ends age, weep, and eventually spray — an oil leak that appears at the front of the engine bay, or transmission fluid where it shouldn't be. Lines are the usual fix; a leaking cooler core costs more mostly in labor to reach it.

What moves the price
- Lines or cooler — lines are the usual fix; a cooler core costs more mostly in labor.
- Engine vs. transmission — transmission cooler lines mean a transmission-fluid top-up with the exact spec fluid.
Quotes near the low end usually mean one line in the open. Quotes near the high end usually mean both lines, lines routed through the radiator support, a leaking cooler core replaced.
