Fuel Injector Replacement Cost
What owners actually paid
The shaded middle is where half of all these repairs landed: $191 – $733. The price on any one car depends on the vehicle — the table below shows the range for each.
What this repair is
Injectors meter fuel into each cylinder. A leaking or stuck one causes misfires, rough idle, fuel smell, or a cylinder washed down with gasoline. Diesel injectors are a different world — high-pressure, precision-coded parts that cost several times their gasoline cousins, which is why truck records dominate the high end of this range.

What moves the price
- Gas vs. diesel — diesel injectors cost several times more and must be coded to the engine.
- One or all — shops often recommend replacing a set at high mileage.
- Access — some engines need the intake manifold off.
Quotes near the low end usually mean one gasoline injector on an accessible rail. Quotes near the high end usually mean a full set, diesel injectors requiring coding, intake manifold removal to reach them.
